Facilities >>Optical Elastohydrodynamic Lubrication Test Rig
Optical elastohydrodynamic lubrication test rig is a typical device for studying lubricating films of non-conformal contacts. Relative movements of its ball-on-disc contact may include pure rolling, pure sliding, spinning and reciprocating. This device can be used to study the lubrication behaviours of oils¡¢greases, aqueous solutions and the biological lubricants. With the newly developed Dichromatic Interference Intensity Modulation Approach (DIIM), film thickness range of several nanometers to 5 micrometers can be achieved with 1 nm resolution.
