Symposium on the Joint training of postgraduates by the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering of Qingdao University of Technology and Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences

In order to improve the quality of personnel training, promote the implementation of the strategy of integration of science and education, and build a high-level talent training base. On November 14, the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering of Qingdao University of Technology and the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences held a symposium on the joint training of postgraduates through the integration of science and education in Conference Room 204, Block B, Qingdao Research and Development Center of Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Researcher Wang Xiaobo (director of Qingdao R & D Center of Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences), researcher Wang Daoai (deputy director of State key Laboratory of solid Lubrication of Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences), and Professor Guo Feng (dean of the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering), Professor Wang Youqiang (vice dean of the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering), and other relevant teachers and students attended the symposium. The symposium was chaired by researcher Wang Xiaobo.

First of all, researcher Wang Xiaobo warmly welcomed the arrival of teachers and students of the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, and introduced in detail about the development history and scientific research resources of the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and its Qingdao Center, hoping to combine the advantages of both sides and establishing an efficient, open, shared and win-win collaborative education mechanism for the integration of science and education, and training a number of high-level innovative talents. Researcher Wang Daoai made a detailed introduction to the situation of the laboratory, hoping to find a better collaborative point in the research of both sides.

Subsequently, Mou Ruitao and Wang Yongqiang, doctoral students of the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, made a brief report on their research at the master's stage at the symposium, and 10 co-trained students of master degree also made oral presentations. Professor Guo Feng, made a summary speech, saying that the integration of science and education is a development strategy put forward by the Shandong Provincial Department of Education around the goal of improving the quality of personnel training, and two sides should take this cooperation as the basis to carry out deeper cooperation in discipline construction, personnel training, and joint construction of teachers, so as to create a joint training platform for high-end postgraduates characterized by the integration of science and education.

Finally, the participants visited the State key Laboratory of solid Lubrication, and co-trained graduate students had a deeper understanding of their future research life.
