Prof. Yang received her Ph.D. degree from Qingdao University of Technology in 2012, conducted postdoctoral research at the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and was a visiting scholar in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College London, UK.

Currently, she serves as a Senior Member of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society and an Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Precision Forming Engineering. She has led multiple research projects, including two grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), one Ministry of Education Collaborative Education Program, one Shandong Provincial Natural Science Foundation project, one Shandong Graduate Education High-Quality Course Reform project, one China Postdoctoral Science Foundation (First-Class Funding) project, one Shandong Higher Education Science and Technology Development Plan project, one Open Project of the State Key Laboratory of Solid Lubrication, and one industry-sponsored project.

As a key researcher, she has participated in a China-Slovenia International Cooperation Project under the Ministry of Science and Technology and two NSFC General Program projects. She has delivered invited keynote speeches at the China-France Advanced Lubrication Materials Symposium and the National Tribology Conference.

Currently, she supervises two Ph.D. students and seven master's students, with one of her supervisees receiving the "Shandong Outstanding Master's Thesis" award. She has been honored with the "Best Oral Presentation" award at an international academic conference and the title of "Qingdao Outstanding Female Role Model".
